What Is TarCoin in Tarkov?

TarCoin is tied to Escape from Tarkov's Expansion Hub rollout. Treat it as an account/store currency topic first, not as an in-raid money-making system, unless Battlestate explicitly changes that in future notes.

Before you spend TarCoin

  • Check whether the offer is cosmetic, edition-related, PvE-related, or convenience-related.
  • Compare it with existing web-store expansion purchases.
  • Look for expiration dates, event-only bundles, and refund limitations.
  • Do not confuse TarCoin with roubles, dollars, euros, GP coins, or flea market value.

Does TarCoin affect flea prices?

Not directly. Flea prices are driven by item supply, demand, trader access, and wipe stage. Store currency should be tracked separately unless an offer adds tradable items.

Is TarCoin pay-to-win?

That depends on the specific offer. Review each Expansion Hub item by whether it changes raid power, progression speed, stash convenience, or only appearance.

For economy decisions, use item prices, the Craft Finder, and the Expansion Hub guide.
